Performance for this lens is  excellent, especially when the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S is used on Panasonic Micro Four Thirds cameras like the Panasonic GH-series or Panasonic GF series. The optical image stabilization provides ease in shooting while experiencing less blur than other lenses that lack this  feature.

The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S is also compact and lightweight, which makes it a great choice for those looking to carry their camera around with them everywhere they go on vacation or wherever else they may want to take pictures. Panasonic DSLR cameras like the Panasonic GH series are excellent choices for Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S because they are compact, lightweight and able to take high quality images.

The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S is made out of plastic with a black finish that allows it  to be lightweight and durable at the same time.

Autofocus Performance

The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S is a high quality lens with excellent autofocus capabilities, allowing for quick and accurate focus on subjects even in low light situations.

Sharpness

Image sharpness is  also an important factor when considering this Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S lens, and it has no problems achieving sharp images in most situations with little to no blurring or loss of focus.

Vignetting

This Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S has no issues with vignetting, which is the darkening of image corners that occurs when shooting images in bright sunlight or other situations where light comes from different angles than what was expected by the lens aperture and sensor system.

We didn’t experience any vignetting when shooting with this lens, even at higher F-stops.

Chromatic Aberration

Chromatic aberration is a phenomenon that can occur when shooting with certain Panasonic lenses, which results in colored fringing around subject outlines or borders and reduced contrast between colors along the border of an image area.

Having said that, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S lens has no problems with chromatic aberration, even when shooting images in bright sunlight or other situations where light comes from different angles than what was expected by the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S aperture and sensor system.

Distortion

We also didn’t experience distortion when testing out this lens,  which is also unusual for Panasonic lenses and another positive for the Lumix G X Vario.

Image Quality

Like we mentioned earlier, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S lens produces sharp, high quality images.  Panasonic have developed Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S lens technology that helps them achieve this, including the use of two aspherical lenses in their lens system and high refractive index glass . Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F/28 Power O.I.S lenses also use Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology to reduce ghosting and flare, which is caused by incidental light reflecting off the surface of the lens elements due to its angle relative to the image sensor or other light sources in an image area, reducing lens flare and keeping Panasonic lenses cleaner by minimizing the number of elements that need to be covered in special coatings, which can also result in increased image quality when shooting with Panasonic lenses.

Bokeh

The bokeh for this lens is  also good. Panasonic lenses that have Panasonic’s “Depth from Defocus” technology produce smoother bokeh, which is present in the Lumix G X Vario.

Is This Camera Lens Worth It?
